Cass & Marie interview people you don’t know, about a subject no one wants to talk about. We hope to encourage people in the process of deconstructing their faith and help curb the loneliness that accompanies it. We think the world is a better place when more people live by sight, not by faith.
Geoff grew up Church of Christ Lite, attended Oklahoma
Christian for undergrad but 9/11 happened his senior year so
he enlisted in the Army. His time in Iraq was a big transition
and by the time he got back, he had come to question a
lot of the things he'd believed for a long time, including
his religious faith. He became very interested in
politics and foreign policy as a result. He works in
Cybersecurity at Seagate in OKC.
He considers his current state to be a step
beyond his old views, rather than an abandonment of them.
He doesn't harbor any ill will towards the church or the
people I knew in that community. He still agrees with a large
portion of Jesus's teachings. Geoff is a true agsnotic.
He's open to the possibility of divinity, just doesn't believe
there is compelling evidence.
Geoff loves his life. He is happily married to an
extraordinary woman, enjoys his job, lives close to
his family, and considers himself privileged.
He's traveled to 40 countries on 5 continents and made
long-lasting friendships all along the way.
