Everyone's Agnostic Podcast

Cass & Marie interview people you don’t know, about a subject no one wants to talk about. We hope to encourage people in the process of deconstructing their faith and help curb the loneliness that accompanies it. We think the world is a better place when more people live by sight, not by faith.

Mar 9, 2016

Cass and Bob converse with their local friend, Dr. David Mathis. David is a licensed psychologist and provides counseling, consulting and psychotherapy services. He has a special interest in helping families who have special needs children such as autism. He is the author of the book, “Anxiety: Understanding and Overcoming: Practical Steps to Overcoming Anxiety.”

David is a Church of Christ PK and was on his way to entering the ministry himself when he began a slow, incremental move away from his childhood faith in his 20s that spread over nearly two decades. Today, we experience a David so far removed from the religious baggage of his youth that having this conversation dug up flashbacks of times long forgotten.

We taped this talk on Feb 21st, 2016.
