Bob & Cass interview Frank Schaeffer about his latest book, "Why I'm an Atheist Who Believes in God." Once we get past that fact that semantically those words are mutually exclusive, an odd conversation can happen. This paradox, this tension, especially for those who were raised religious and are no longer, can stick in your head for decades. Perhaps some just can't completely shut the coffin on God? "Spiritual but not religious." How much space can remain for the possibility of a "god" or Prime Mover once one denies all supernaturalism, magic, superstition, and fully accepts Darwin's theory of evolution? Is it anything more than feelings or wishful thinking?
