Everyone's Agnostic Podcast (atheism)
Cass & Bob interview people you don't know about a subject no one wants to talk about--God. What's not to like?
Episode 76 Ben Bible

Today Cass & Bob interview Ben Bible, an 18 year old MTSU student here in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Dr. Bob had Ben in class and approached Bob about his post-Christian experience, so we had him on the show. This turned out to be a really good talk. We’ve wanted to have a representation of the millennial generation on the show and we got a good one.

We hit on: Millennial generation attitude toward Christianity, Climate change, and political correctness. Some of Ben’s favorite online talk shows:

Episode 72 Dan Barker

Cass & Bob talk with former pastor, Dan Barker. Dan was a door-to-door evangelical Christian whose mission was set on saving souls. This is his story of deconversion. In his words, he drained the bathwater and there was no baby. The first time he came out as ex-Christian was in 1984 on the Oprah Winfrey show, where he also met his future wife, Annie Laurie Gaylor, and co-president with him of the Freedom From Religion Foundation.

His new book is “Life Driven Purpose.”

Episode 71 Absence of Christ

Cass & Bob chat with their anonymous guest who blogs as The Absence of Christ. “David” is the son of a charismatic Christian minister. They pull back the veil of charismania and discuss in detail the antics that come out of believing that god wants to show out in signs in wonders. This brought back some strange and embarrassing memories for Cass and was new info for Bob.

Episode 58 Bart Campolo

Episode 58 of the Everyone’s Agnostic podcast features Cass Midgley and Bob Pondillo discussing how non-religious, naturalist thinkers frame the issue of death and whether or not we have an honest narrative that is, in fact, comforting to those grieving their lost loved ones. We borrow clips from Hemant Mehta’s podcast, the Friendly Atheist, where he interviews Bart Campolo, a Humanist Chaplain for USC and UCLA. You can listen to that entire interview here.

This episode was taped on August 1st  2015.

Episode 57: Lydia Allan

Bob and Cass interview one of the most exciting new voices in atheist podcasting, Lydia Allan. David Smalley, of the ground-breaking podcast Dogma Debate, discovered Lydia as she was speaking at a local freethinkers meetup in Dallas. He was so impressed with her that he approached to come on his show as a regular co-host and we all benefit from his intuition. Her undergraduate degree was in Psychology, she holds two Masters degrees in Neuroscience and  ? and is currently working on a PhD in The History and Philosophy of Science.

In the spirit of “the more you know, the more you realize you don’t know,” Lydia bears a refreshing humility while be very smart and well educated and even feisty at times. She’s exactly the kind of voice we want at the table. One of the best mixes of learned, empathic, angry, and compassionate I’ve ever interviewed.  I think you’re going to like this talk.
